Handicap Placecards

I have known people who refuse to get a handicap card out of vanity and regretted it later. I have come to learn to embrace it with no shame. My time to get one came when arthritis moved in on me and having both hips replaced and also still arthritis in the spine and knees. It is a lifesaver in the winter as I do not need to slip and fall on snow or ice in parking lots which may result in damage to my replacements or other injuries. I have a permanent one but a temporary one is also available. It is bright red, these placards are valid as long as your physician requests, up to six months.
If you know anyone who could be safer with one please encourage them to do so. A trip to the DVM will get them the application.

Jitterbug

No not the dance this >
I decided to get one a year or so back and love it ! The numbers are easy to read and the keys are user friendly. It does not have all the bells & whistles like a camera or texting but for me it is ideal as I use it for emergency situations when Iam out & about.
If you have a elderly parents this would be ideal for them, as I said it is very user friendly.

Oh Oh Here It Comes

Another birthday for me soon and it will be my last in a certain decade. I think next year I will have a huge party to usher in the new one.
I see so many my age in the obts, some I went to school with, and younger. I guess God has his plan for me and I take each day as a gift.

OMG ! Iam Turning Into My Mother

Something I swore would NEVER happen to me but as the days pass by it's true. I will say or do something and my kids are starting to say " Mom that sounded like Grandma or that is what Grandma would do ". It's even true when Iam alone and do or think something and I realize it. I wonder if this will pass on to my daughter as she travels down life's road ? Well if it does, it will be a good thing. LOL
Mom if you are watching me from above writing this it's OK I sort of like it now. Love you.

RULES FOR LIFE

Never judge a day by the weather

The best things in life aren't things

Tell the truth - there's less to remember

Speak softly and wear a loud shirt

Goals are deceptive - The unaimed arrow never misses

He who dies with the most toys still dies

Age is relative - when you're over the hill you pick up speed

There are 2 ways to be rich - Make more or desire less.

Beauty is internal - Looks mean nothing

No rain - no rainbows.

Wow ! How did I get on this side so quickly ? Wasn't I just a little girl playing with my toys without a care in the world, then raising a family to see them have families of their own now ? I still can feel that little girl in me but she has changed with life.
